Passive protection

The ship's design does the first job

Protection starts with a passive principle. The holds stay at sea temperature, and since the route smooths the gap between North and South, cargo escapes thermal shocks. The small day-night spread avoids condensation, and dry, healthy sea air completes the picture. That is the physical reason why coffee and cocoa travel better below the waterline than in a container overheating near the equator.

Segmented ventilation

Ventilation designed hold by hold

Two natural air intakes per deck and three independent fans — including an ATEX extraction in the hold rated for dangerous goods — allow up to six air changes per hour, hold by hold or by group, depending on the cargo.

Measured quality

Quality that is measured, not just promised

Our monitoring set-up defines critical thresholds for each voyage to prevent condensation, places temperature and humidity sensors in every hold, records the data for analysis, and relies on trained crews; a sensor network linked to the bridge continuously tracks temperature, humidity, pressure and wave height.

Concrete proof. A 1,000-tonne chocolate shipment filled 73% of the hold volume, with ventilation running nearly four times more often than when empty — twenty-two air changes per hour. Your cargo arrives in the state it left.
Decarbonisation

Decarbonisation that is measured and verifiable

Sailing radically cuts the CO₂ emissions of the maritime leg. Anemos, our avoided-emissions certificate (published method, vessel emissions verified under EU MRV), documents the CO₂ avoided per batch — computed on your real data — with port-to-port traceability. A nominative certificate, verifiable online, comes with every shipment, ready for your ESG reports and to share with your customers.

What that adds up to

Illustrative example: a 1,000 t shipment on a transatlantic crossing (≈ 5,900 km) avoids about 72 t of CO₂ versus a conventional cargo ship.
